For the nineteenth film of the month we have It Came From Beneath The Sea

First off, we have the story which has a giant, radioactive octopus rise from the Philippine Trench to terrorise the North American Pacific Coast. I thought the story was very entertaining especially with the creature scenes.

Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were, for a film like this with a mysterious creature roaming the seas best suited for the film with scientists who research it and the army as they try to put an end to it's terror.

As for the film's visuals I thought the film looked very good especially the animation on the creature which for the time both suited the film and looked convincing to add to the tension felt throughout. Now we have the action which in terms of the attacks by the creature was thrilling and intense from the start to the end of the film. Moving onto the tone of the film which had some great suspense and true science fiction with the giant mysterious creature attacking civilisation and the stakes got higher. I thought the soundtrack of the film which added to the film very well especially for the attacks by the creature.

Overall, I thought this film was a very enjoyable one and to see what giant creature films  were like back in the day and it certainly showed how good they can be and I would like to see more of them in the future.

I give It Came From Beneath The Sea a score of 7/10
