For the second film of the month we have The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes

First off, we have the story which has the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Doctor Watson as they attempt to foil their archenemy Professor Moriarty who targets a wealthy family and plots the theft of the Crown Jewels. I thought the story was an enjoyable one as it progressed the mystery of what Professor Moriarty was planning.

Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were good with Basil Rathbone again giving an excellent performance as the detective and how he faced the challenges of Professor Moriarty and to put a stop to him.

As for the film's visuals I thought it looked really good and with it's uses of the lighting and shadows added to the look of the film which is an interesting style for classic Sherlock. Moving onto the tone of the film which was consistent throughout to create an eerie and mysterious vibe with the mystery of the film. I thought the soundtrack of the film was ok but nothing standout or spectacular and did what it needed to.

Overall, I thought this film was another enjoyable Sherlock Holmes film and I look forward to seeing what comes next in the future films although I found the first film slightly better than this one, mainly for it's story and atmosphere.

I give The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes a score of 6/10
