For the twelfth film of the month we have Pursuit To Algiers
First off, we have the story which has Holmes who is recruited to escort the heir to a European throne safely back to his homeland after his father's assassination. I thought the story was very entertaining from start to finish with a return to a more political mystery than the last few films.
Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were very good and by this point both Rathbone and Bruce have perfected there interpretations on the famous duo and they work off each other so well.
As for the film's visuals I thought were consistent throughout especially the sequences on the ship with the sets that were made up very well to look like a ships design. Moving onto the tone of the film which managed to have an air of mystery with it while also keeping the thrills intact to make it more entertaining. I thought the soundtrack of the film which suited it very well and added as good backing for the story.
Overall, I thought this film was a very enjoyable film with a mixture of thrills and mystery to keep the entertainment high and with great performances from the main duo to create another classic Holmes film.
I give Pursuit To Algiers a score of 7/10
