First off, we have the story in which after a ghost invasion of Manhattan, paranormal enthusiasts Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates, nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann, and subway worker Patty Tolan band together to stop the otherworldly threat. I thought the story was very cliche and the dialogue in places felt off and the way it moved from one scene to the next felt disconnected and in all was boring and I didn't care about the characters.

Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought had some chemistry together but as separate individuals weren't that interesting. The only one trying to stand out was Kate McKinnon as Jillian with her antics. The rest of the cast could have done much better choices.

As for the film's visuals I thought the visual effects for the ghosts were pretty good as well as some the establishing shots. I also thought the editing was weird in places. Now we have the action which was somewhat enjoyable and the sequences were shot well. Moving onto the tone of the film which attempted to bring the comedy however it just came across as obnoxious or annoying which in turn made it unfunny. I thought the soundtrack of the film was suiting of the type of film they wanted to make.

I give Ghostbusters a score of 2/10
