For the seventeenth film of the month we have Good Will Hunting
First off, we have the story which has Will Hunting, a janitor at M.I.T. who has a gift for mathematics, but needs help from a psychologist to find direction in his life. I thought the story
was very enjoyable and the message it was trying to bring across was intriguing.
Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were very interesting however they were all well acted in terms of the main cast and the chemistry between Will and Sean is one of the best aspects of the film as well as the friendship between Will and Chuckie.
As for the film's visuals I thought the cinematography was great especially the colour palette that was used throughout the film. Moving onto the tone of the film which I thought had some very palatable drama that kept the film going but there were also some nice character moments to build the relationships between them. I thought the soundtrack of the film added some good backing to certain scenes.
Overall, I thought this film was a very enjoyable film that was relaxing but managed to bring up some important points and the dynamic between the main leads is what keeps the film going.
I give Good Will Hunting a score of 9/10
