For the thirty-second film of the month we have Braveheart
First off, we have the story which has William Wallace, a late 13th-century Scottish warrior who leads the Scots in the First War of Scottish Independence against King Edward I of England. I thought the story
was entertaining enough with some interesting moments throughout and i had a good time.
Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought in terms of the acting was pretty good and you could see why the main characters wanted freedom and would fight for it and you could feel the conflict from both sides.
As for the film's visuals I thought managed to capture living during the time period the film with the landscape footage as well as the conflicts that were going on at the time. The visuals were at there best during the action to capture the fighting as well as the brutal killings. Now we have the action which was very thrilling and the large battle scenes were executed very well with the stunts as well as the camerawork and editing. Moving onto the tone of the film which did well at making it feel like an epic war film with the conflict between the countries and the leaders in power. I thought the soundtrack of the film was very good with some of the music of Scotland while the rest of the soundtrack worked well in the scenes needed.
Overall, I thought this film was an enjoyable film from start to finish with a decent story and characters you could root for as well as some thrilling action to fuel the conflict throughout the film.
I give Braveheart a score of 7/10
