Rambo: First Blood

For the thirty-fifth film of the month we have Rambo: First Blood

First off, we have the story which has Former Green Beret John Rambo as he is pursued into the mountains surrounding a small town by a tyrannical sheriff and his deputies, forcing him to survive using his combat skills. I thought the story was very entertaining and watch how one man can go on the warpath because of terrible people was interesting.

Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were very good in terms of acting with the main focus of the film being Rambo played by Sylvester Stallone who gave a great performance as an innocent man who was pushed to his limits over the course of the film.

As for the film's visuals I thought the cinematography during the forest parts were fantastic showing off dense and foggy area as well as when Rambo would use it to his advantage.   Now we have the action which was both thrilling and entertaining as Rambo used his survival skills against his pursuers even though he didn't want to hurt other people. Moving onto the tone of the film which I thought was thought built up the tension of the situation really well to make it more entertaining to watch as Rambo was forced to survive however he could. I thought the soundtrack of the film was very good and suited the film very well with fast paced action tracks as well as some slower tracks in some scenes.

Overall, I thought this film was a very enjoyable film and seeing Stallone pull off the kind of character he played in this film was very interesting because of what he had to go through and what he had been through in his past and how it effected him.

I give Rambo: First Blood a score of 8/10
