For the twenty-second film of the month we have Gandhi

First off, we have the story which covers Gandhi's life from a defining moment in 1893, as he is thrown off a South African train for being in a whites-only compartment, and concludes with his assassination and funeral in 1948. I thought the story was very enlightening and taught me about one of the most influential men in the world.

Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were the best part of the film in terms of acting by the cast and it's characters that Gandhi comes into contact with. Speaking of Gandhi the actor portraying him: Ben Kingsley did an excellent performance to give life to the character and how he changes over the course of the film as well as his mannerisms and attitude.

As for the film's visuals I thought it looked  steady and well planned out in terms of the bigger scenes and the visuals for the landscapes of India added to the overall film for the different places that Gandhi visited throughout his life. Moving onto the tone of the film which didn't shy away at some of the important events shown even if there was violence. I thought the soundtrack of the film was very good with it's mix of Indian based tracks but also tracks that suited the situations throughout the film.

Overall, I thought this film was a very knowledgeable film and helped me to understand about the history of an influential man and what he faced throughout his life without stopping his teachings.

I give Gandhi a score of 8/10
