For the seventeenth film of the month we have Gone Girl

First off, we have the story which has Nick Dunne who's wife has disappeared and soon becomes target of the media and suspicions fall on him for the disappearance. I thought the story was very entertaining and the twists throughout were exceptionally pulled off to make it more thrilling.

Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were one of the best parts about the film both in terms of acting and the characters themselves and the chemistry was done really well. Both Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike as Amy were the standout performers. 

As for the film's visuals I thought it looked really good and the cinematography was stand out with the lighting and camera positions giving the film a distinct look to it. Moving onto the tone of the film which was built up excellently as you knew something was up from the very start and as that slowly gets revealed the whole film twists itself on it's head. I thought the soundtrack of the film was done really well and it added to the tension throughout the film.

Overall, I thought this film was an excellent watch with a fantastic story and characters that built up the story very well and a tone that completed the film to make it a great film and one of the best of recent years.

I give Gone Girl a score of 9/10
