For the thirteenth film of the month we have Mulholland Drive
First off, we have the story which has a car wreck on the winding Mulholland Drive renders a woman amnesiac, she and a perky Hollywood-hopeful search for clues and answers across Los Angeles in a twisting venture beyond dreams and reality. I thought the story
was very intriguing and was captivating from start to finish.
Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were all well acted and were compelling because of the mysterious going on throughout the story and the two main leads have some decent chemistry.
As for the film's visuals I thought the cinematography throughout was masterfully put together and the camerawork and lighting do wonders to add to the overall feel and style the film is bringing across. Moving onto the tone of the film which makes the film chilling in places and keeps blanket of mystery over what is really going on which makes the film better. I thought the soundtrack of the film was great and added to the feel and direction of the story.
Overall, I thought this was a fantastic start into looking at the films directed by David Lynch as I have been anticipating to watch one of them and this one with it's captivating story and unique characters which make the film entertaining and one to look back on.
I give Mulholland Drive a score of 10/10
