The Silence Of The Lambs

For the next film we have The Silence Of The Lambs

First off, we have the story which has a F.B.I trainee who must work with incarcerated killer in order to catch one who violently kills his victims. I thought the story was an interesting take on a crime thriller and I enjoyed it very much.

Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were very compelling and the chemistry between the majority of the characters came across really well but very interesting and the acting by the cast shows this. The obvious relationship is with Lecter and Clarice Starling.

Now we have the action which is mostly shown in the aftermath and not directly on screen and when the film wants to show something disturbing it doesn't shy away from it. As for the visuals I thought the film's cinematography really stood out with aspects like the camera shots and lighting used to add to the tension of scenes for example by using a certain angle or having a character look a certain direction you can see who is in control of a scene especially between Lecter and Starling. Moving onto the tone of the film which I found to be dark and chilling which was very good especially during the conversations between Lecter and Starling. I thought the soundtrack of the film was used very well in the scenes that required music as they added to them to add to the tension of certain scenes.

Overall, I thought this film was an enjoyable one with some excellent acting who carried a compelling and thrilling story and this is a film i was unsure about in the past but was proven wrong.

I give The Silence Of The Lambs a score of 9/10
