I decided to watch Paranormal Activity

First off, we have the story which focuses on two young people as they are haunted by a unknown presence in their home. I thought the story was alright but the setting as well as the growing tension added to it really well.

Next, we have the characters which overall I thought were acted well enough for the roles they were playing. 

As for the visuals the film was shot in a found footage style when one of the characters buys a new camera and I thought it was done in a decent way but I found Chronicle, another found footage film's way better and more interesting. Moving onto the tone of the movie which did very well at capturing an unsettling feel for the duo are continuously haunted starting off with little incidents and gradually getting worse as the days go by. I thought the soundtrack of the film was used well when it came to the little sounds you could hear and made things very unsettling and added to the tone of the film. 

Overall, I thought this film was a good entry into the horror genre with great tension and I was very surprised to like it as I am not usually one for horror films and only delve into specific ones.

I give Paranormal Activity a score of 6/10
