We have The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
First off, we have the story which has three gunslingers searching for $200,000 in gold across the American Southwest. I thought the story was interesting and different as Western films are ones I haven't delved into a lot so it is nice when I see one with a good story.
Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were very interesting with the acting overall giving life to the title characters with Clint Eastwood playing "The Good" standing out from the other two in terms of performance and character.
Now we have the action which for some of the best sequences were the gunfights between the characters which were always had the tension built up because of the music but as well as the camera choices which made them entertaining. As for the visuals I thought the film looked stunning with the locations such as deserts and western towns being the main ones. the cinematography gives the film it's own twist by using shots such as close up's and long shots for location shots. Moving onto the tone of the film which embraced the Western genre from the American setting of the time and even things like gunfights and treasure etc. I thought the soundtrack of the film was amazing with the variety of Western tracks especially the main theme of the film which is notable as soon as it starts and works in a bad-ass moment.
Overall, I thought this film was a nice change of film to watch and can see why it is regarded in film as one of the classic Westerns
I give The Good, the Bad and the Ugly a score of 9/10
