We now have Transcendence
First off, we have the story which has a scientist who focuses on artificial intelligence uploads his consciousness and things become more dangerous when he starts wanting more. I thought the story was great in terms of the concept, however the execution of it wasn't that great and I became bored very quickly.
Next, we have the characters which overall, I thought were very bland and boring even though the film had a stellar cast attached to it, i just felt most of them were trying to hard or couldn't be bothered.
As for the visuals I thought the film did have some good looking shots spread in the film which was probably helped because this film was directed by a cinematographer who worked a lot with Christopher Nolan. Moving onto the tone of the film which attempted to make a potentially darker or morally ambiguous film in terms of the story-line throughout which does have it's little moments but not enough and there maybe should of been a bigger focus. I thought the soundtrack of the film was serviceable and added to the film fairly well with some of the music choices.
Overall, I thought this film was a disappointed film that had so much potential with the concepts that it was working with, unfortunately the acting and story let it down to become a terrible film.
I give Transcendence a score of 2/10
