Predator

I have decided to watch Predator.

First off we have the story which overall I thought was very entertaining and kept me watching throughout. Parts of the film involving the Predator kept me engaged as the characters attempted to kill it. 

Next we have the characters which overall I thought were a mixed bag and didn't know what to think of them. The one major standouts of the film however were Dutch and the Predator itself. Dutch because of his actions in the movie and the Predator because of it being a near unstoppable force for the characters to take down.

Moving on to the action throughout the film which was great to watch such as the gunfights at the beginning to when they eventually fight the Predator and the way that it was taken out by Dutch towards the end of the film was very entertaining to watch as Dutch used what was available in the jungle to do it. The tone of the movie was done very well with it's action scenes that were paced well and kept me watching. There were also the times were the characters were being hunted by the Predator and the characters had no idea what they were fighting which gave the movie a sense of mystery to the creature. It also helped the movie showed not a lot of the creature for most of the movie which added to the mystery of the creature. Next are the visuals which for a science fiction and horror film added to make the film great. The visuals added to the setting of the movie, it made the setting feel claustrophobic for the characters as the attempted to kill the Predator. The soundtrack fit the film perfectly. There were tracks that fit the jungle setting to the film. There were also tracks which added to the action and suspenseful scenes throughout the movie. 

Overall I thought this film was really enjoyable to watch and as an action/horror film it was one of the best to watch.

I give Predator a score of 8/10
